Starting out as a Registered Nurse (RN) for almost a decade, Karen brings unique expertise acquired from hands-on experience when providing medical billing services to clients. During her career as an RN, it became apparent that there was a need for more efficient and comprehensive billing and coding services. Then and there, inspiration formed for Karen’s first company, Evans Medical Consultants (EMC). Its doors officially opened in 1997 and currently operates in Anacortes, WA. Since then, Karen and her carefully chosen team of professional coders provide unparalleled billing services ranging from consulting, auditing, coding, credentialing, authorizations, A/R recovery, and more.

 

In 2012, Karen’s team of revenue cycle specialist grew after she purchased New Directions Practice Management.
